JFlowers
You are in luck.... Fort Jackson is located on I-77 going around Columbia. At the end of I-77 is the Mid-Carolina Gun Club. They have USPSA, IDPA, etc. About 2 hours east (Charleston) and two hours west (Spartanburg) you have two more clubs. Plus Clinton House (Clinton, SC) and Tabor City, NC running 3 Gun Nation Club matches.

mwx40x40
Thanks for the info guys keep it coming mainly looking at USPSA I don't think IDPA would like my Open gun The folks at MidCarolina do a really nice job with USPSA. I think you will be pleased. In addition to the other clubs mentioned Spartanburg and Summerville put on good matches as well. Even though I am a Jawja boy, I do most of my USPSA shooting in South Carolina. That being said Pinetucky Gun Club in Augusta , Ga. an hours ride from Columbia does USPSA on the 4th Saturday of every month.
