Snapple
I looked at 3 different 1301's at the gun show today. All 3 of them had rust spots on the lifter. The fun feels extremely nice and comfortable but I was a little concerned about the rust on the lifter. It wasn't just the one gun it was everyone that I saw. Problem with the finish maybe? davehorn
I've had my lifter done by C-Rums, no issues. In all honesty, a little rust on the lifter is no concern. Hell if you're shopping at a gun show, I'd welcome it. Good bargaining point.
Lead-Head
Were they new? I shot mine at BrM3g and the international put it up without cleaning and did not get it out of safe for a month to shoot a local. No rust.
IainC
I'm seriously considering getting a 1301, if corrosion was an issue I'd need to have a rethink.
Snapple
Yes they were all new. Not sure if it was just a defect on the lifter or something from the distributor they probably all came from the same place. In all honesty if you gonna get serious about 3gun your gonna have tge lifter welded up and that would take care if the rust problem. Just thought it was odd to see rust spots on 3 different 1301's from 3 different dealers
ambluemax
If your lifter is rusty, your not practicing enough LOL I wouldn't worry about it. Its probably just surface rust that will buff right out.
