Carbide dies really worth it ?

yeh but I was under the impression that if a round didnt get ENOUGH lube the carbide would help ??? Am I incorrect in this thinking ?? -

so they dont help w not getting stuck on that occasional case that may not be lubed quite as well ?? -
Hey all Im looking to sell my 550B & upgrade to a 650.. was thinking about this and I wonder since I will need to case lube anyway (on 223) are the carbides dies justified in the extra $100+ ?? I hate when things "dont run smoothly" so I am thinking of just getting them.... any thoughts ?? Also if it matters I have zero rifle ammo reloading experience. Ive been running a 550B for pistol only for about 18months Thanks !

How to shoot your Rifle like a pistol?
fireman489 replied to DocMedic's topic in Rifle & Shotgun - Technique
Ive often wondered this ^^^ I mean WAYYYY more time can be lost w missing 1 long range target ?? Considering myself "the newguy" still, I dont take myself too seriously but, I dont even think about speed .. I prefer to think about "process" , running my stage plan & being consistent. LOVE this idea, thanks for sharing -
Recommend factory .223/5.56 for 3-gun that's affordable in bulk.

I had good results w Wolf gold 55's & 75's seems to be consistent and accurate enough for 3Gun... -
Let him shoot 100 yd slugs at a BC target then tell us "its not about ability" .....
-
THIS ^^^^^^ ..... Dont be afraid of the shotgun .... that comment of "its not about ability" is nonsense... all shotguns in a classification hold the exact same amount & a great tricked out scattergun can be had for 5-600 BRAND NEW .... Several of us live very near you so feel free to reach out & get to know us !

buy once cry once ... cheap isn't better

Kevin's customer service at Invictus is worth it alone...Im sure CA is great also but like Austin said, IP's really are a superior value. I would just get a few more than what you were planning, each CoF is different and thus you will need different tools. I have IP's (2)12Q (3) 2.8's (1)2.6 & a standard safari land old school 4 caddy, so I can go to the line w 51 (including my match saver) plus 9 in the gun ....they come in handy when your on a 40 round shotgun jungle run.... trust me

Ive gotten the best accuracy using my stock IC.... I also have a M & IM but I try to stick w IC when I can
-
Bryan Ray also shoots the 1301 .... if Beretta paid the pros they'd be using it too ... results at a local match dont show a new user what his best options are.... Ive shot all 3 and hands down will take the M2 or my 1301 ... on slug accuracy alone !

Casey I was off also ... I used 33 slugs for the 29 slug targets .... pissed me off Uhhh now you are just bragging... pure luck....

Shotgun technique for speed
fireman489 replied to bikerburgess's topic in Rifle & Shotgun - Technique
Also looking forward to Mr Kelley's article. Im super new so maybe Im wrong here but when I have my 1301 in hand Im not as concerned about recoil management .... in fact Ive never even considered it until reading this. Im more concerned w going 1:1 ESPECIALLY w slugs... I guess I would fall into the "neutral" category like Kurtm mentioned... take t w a grain (or cup) of salt though as Im the rookie/newbie/FNG -

There may or may not be some truth to the rumor that the cage (I like that term) was constructed by Brian Vaught and myself. But if it were true, it probably would have been made to shoot a rifle out of, not a shotgun. As evidence by how much I struggled getting my 26" gun into it. Yeh Bryan , both your names were brought up several times .... I just smiled w a evil laugh for ya since you couldnt enjoy it all  then my typical response was .... "hey I didnt make it .... Im just working it"

I understand max in the tube for TO shotgun is 8 with that being said does anyone know if we are allowed to have a 9th round on the lifter for those "chamber empty on a closed bolt" starts ? I guess the same could be asked of a shotgun first stage ... 8 in the tube + 1 in the chamber ?? Or is it 8 in the gun PERIOD & Im not understanding this rule ? Thanks !
