RevolverJockey
Back from the range and the results were good. For the time being I will consider load development done unless I find a reason to check it again. This was 12 rounds at 50 yards. I shot 4 other similar groups. Turns out the rest was moving. Not sure if there was trouble mechanically reobtaining zero or it was physically moving within the rubber. On a side note, I don't think that a moonclip only revolver is the best candidate for a ransom rest. Only 4 rounds can be loaded at a time due to clearance issues and there is a lot of jarring opening and closing the cylinder even if you are careful. I think these influences can be mitigate, they all contributed to the inconsistent results in some way. Lee

EEH
You said you shot home made lead bullets with that group I would have to buy some good jacketed bullets and see what the diff.is.
RevolverJockey
There is a reason I shoot free homemade bullets made from free range lead. Lee
one-gun
Wow. With home cooked bullets too. I've never shot my 627 super from a rest but from 50 yards I'd expect to need a much larger quarter for my group.
RevolverJockey
I found the front sight I needed. Turns out it was in my Bridgeport the whole time. .215"x.095" - I am hoping the sporty look will make me shoot faster. Lee
Toolguy
Good looking sight! Be careful to stay off to the side on those fast draws. Wouldn't want to snag anything important now, would we? Edited December 19, 2013 by Toolguy
Jaxshooter
I changed the front sight on both of my 627 38 supers to .215 and have plenty of adjustment. You should have no problem with the double action trigger pull right around 5 to 5 1/4 lbs. I have mine at 5 1/4 lbs (Carmonized) and have never experienced a light strike. RevolverJockey
It is funny you mention changing to a .215". .215" is the factory correct front sight height. Looks like more than one made it out of the factory wearing the wrong sight. Lee
