-Ace-
Does the precision rig have to be a bolt gun?
DDirks
Ace, it does not. There is a separate semi automatic division.
BigLucky
And it doesn't necessarily have to be a "precision rifle".... Jerry won the semi-auto division last year with a .223 and recon by fire on targets out to 800 yards.
-Ace-
Good to know. Is there a caliber cap as well, or can we ring those close 800 yarders with .375CT?
BigLucky
I believe that .338 is the caliber cap. I think the max range this year is 700 because of some changes at the range. This was the long range stage last year. That far E-Type target was 825ish.. Edited November 7, 2013 by BigLucky
kanek
The website say max diameter is 308. Looks like a fun match. Will distances be known?

Mickster
Why not just post the distances for the precision rifle right there at the stage, along with the stage description. But then what would those of us who have those really cool range finders do with them. I know, get to the stage, range the targets, and post them next to the stage description. steviesterno
sounds awesome! Too bad I don't have a long range set up. Is there any way to shoot this with 4x or is that just silly? I've shot out to about 400 with it before

M118LR
Had a chance to look at the stages on the website. They have posted the distances for the targets that we will be engaging with the precision rifle. Hope they are right.
Sgtsvi
I was going to come down but the weather is looking pretty bad for this weekend. 35 degrees and freezing rain doesn't work for me any more for shooting. Maybe next year.

Jack T
I still have that Florida blood flowing through me and was thinking about bowing out. But, I really need to redeem myself after the dismal performance with the precision rifle last year:) See ya'll there!! Maybe next year. I'm hoping for no freezing precip for the boy to drive through. Even though he'd tough it out, the dad in me might not let him drive down there.
