Paul-the new guy
Just ordered one of these. I have 3 tool heads set up to load 9mm and .38 super. Does anyone use the Dillon powder funnel expander with a MBF? I hate to have to buy a $38.00 funnel for each tool head but I also hate to swap them out. Paul-the new guy
Yes, it did come with one, but I want more than 1. I answered my own question. You can use the Dillon x-pander it works ok but if you go really fast the bullets will tip or even fly off. The Mr. B F expander is probably the best choice. RippSpeed
You dont really need to use the powder funnel from Mr. Bullet Feeder ... I'm not using the funnel for my 9mm
Torogi
For a few thousand rounds i kept the dillon powder funnel on my 1050 9mm. But i was using moly coated bullets and plated bullets. With the dillon 9mm funnel expander, it works fine if you finger drop them bullets plus case wont stick to it but like OP said, it doesnt give a good expansion for bullets to sit and may strip moly or plating. So now im using the MBF funnel. It has that extra expansion on the lip, i can go fast with no flying bullets, but i have to admit, case do stick more on the funnel. I do use some wax though but im lazy.

I dont have a problem with using the dillon funnel in my 9mm ... I load plated and jacketed there for Major... I'm having problems using my 1050 for 40sw
Nimitz
Not sure why but my cases don't really stick any more using the MBF funnel like they did when I first started using it ...
