pvhendrix
My STI .40 SS with Tripp magazine makes weight and fits the box. I put them on my Springfield .40 SS, with standard guide rod and Tripp magazine makes weight, fits the box. Scott is a moderator here on Enos. jkrispies
Look at Hogue palmswells: http://www.hoguestore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=734_50_147&products_id=717 Or, if you don't want wood, they have their rubber version as well. jkrispies
I've owned them and they definitely feel oversized compared to standard grips, and they're comfortable. You can order in a variety of woods and checkered or not. I think you can get them with finger grooves too, but I don't know how that affects the various rule legalities. Goldenmotors
Just go with an old set of Hogue rubber ones.

dogtired
I did a combo of the Hogue palmswell grips and the Pearce Grips 1911 Rubber Finger Groove Insert. The Pearce grip fits beneath and grips you find. Of course you have to like finger grooves.
