Sarge
Looking at some Trijicon night sights for my G19. I usually just lay the slide on the garage floor and pound new sights into my Glocks. Can I safely do this with Tritium sights or can I damage them using my usual method. I think Trijicon will install them for $10. Am I better off just sending them the slide and letting them do it? leas327
If they will do it for $10 how hard do you think it is? If smacking sights in with a hammer will break them do you really want those sights on an emergency gun?
Sarge
I'm sure they press them in? It's not hard to sand the base down a little and pound them home. I just thought beating the sight sideways might put a little more stress on the tubes as opposed to back and forth movement.

Gabe Athouse
They're pretty solid. I prefer a pusher but you should not have to worry about breaking the tritium insert if you're using a punch to install.
Smitty79
Dawson has videos on how to do this with normal tools. Worked for me. (I think)

Cowboy1629
I've done several with a punch and no issues but if I had access to a pusher I would give that a shot. +1 on Dawson's videos.
