hard chroming a TruBor?

Folks,

A guy wants to sell me his Trubor at a good price. Now I'm thinking indeed of buying an open gun and that sounds like a good option. I just don't like its looks to be honest and I was going after the GM for that.

Do you know of any smith that would hard chrome the trubor for me?

Do a search for hard chrome there are 4 or 5 companies that people on Enos have used. There is no need to send it to a gunsmith they are just going to send it to the same people you can.

i would suggest calling STI and ask if they can recommend someone...

I wish I would have left my open gun in the gray. Easier to make machining changes down the road.

Shoot the ugly bugger for 6 months if you still like open by then you will want to start whacking the fat off the slide, or start drilling holes in it.
