caz41
Loading with the weak hand on the quad load method and found that when loading the first set of 2 the lead round of the second set of 2 hits the forearm. How far can I cut it back? Anybody got pics of theirs done that way?

Rob Tompkins
I'll post a pic of what I did when I get home. I would not cut back past the end of the receiver.
caz41
Yeah, I posted mine not too long ago, let me search for it... Mine is cut about the same and I sanded it to try and smooth it out. I'm still hitting it
Dan Sierpina
I didn't cut it back, I gave it a long gradual taper. I continued it around to the sides, it's much smoother loading now.

nheiny13
Here's what I did with mine. I added some kydex underneath it to help it get closer to the receiver and then I angled it down. I have not had a shell get caught since. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=161003&hl=%2Bversa+%2Bmax+%2Bkydex
Dan Sierpina
The worse thing about the Versa Max is the cheap forend. If they were going to copy Benelli, you'd think they would copy the forend too, or at least use a more rigid material Hope this helps.

Akkid17
Rob, How is that lifter for weak hand loading? I cut my loading port about that far and I have a huge gap between the shell and the lifter, and I was curious if the c-rums would bring the lifter far enough forward to make it worthwhile or am I going to need to get it extended even more. Looks good by the way Here's what I did:

Looks good by the way Here's what I did: Weak hand loading is smooth as silk. I'd get that lifter welded up by C-Rums P.D.Q. They also extend it so there is little chance catching your thumb. caz41
Anyone tried a benelli handguard to see if it will go on a VM? Or will the pistons get in the way?
Dan Sierpina
I think the pistons will interfere.
