tracker
Steel cased ammo ok in my 9L?
wgj3
Sure. Some have said that over time, steel cases are harder (literally and figuratively) on an extractor, but I believe it would take 10's of thousands of rounds to realize any difference between steel and brass. Main thing is cleaning chamber of lacquer and whatever other coatings they put on the steel to make them feed better, etc.
partyboy424
Also, if you do shoot enough to beat up your extractor. Replacements from SSS are literaly 3 dollars.
ProGunGuy
steel cases are ok, but is the ammo itself ok??? I know a few guys that have shot steel TULA out of MP'S and various other guns. they seem to be underpowered with hard or dud primers.
wgj3
Ive never personally experienced the "dud" issue, but have seen/heard some stuff that led me to believe it might not have the very best QC. But, that didnt seem to be the question from the OP...
ranger
My M&P PRO with APEX competition kit gobbles up any kind of steel cased ammo I feed it.
