robmont
Just purchased a new Dan Wesson Pointman 9 and it states in the Owner's Manual that "The use of reloaded, "remanufactured", handloaded, or other non-standard ammunition voids all warranties". Etc., etc., etc. (The warranty for Dan Wesson is 5 years, by the way). I would really like to start handloading. Should I pay attention to this, or are they just trying to protect themselves against liability? Could they tell if I used quality materials and loaded sensibly? Really appreciate all the help for a newbe by the way!

Grumpy's Toy
With a 8 week backorder on Dillon presses, there is going to be a lot of guns with no warantee
JFlowers
Basically it means they are covered if you load a double charge and the barrel splits or major damage is done. Most of my guns rarely see "box" ammo and I have never had a manufacturer deny a warranty claim when the problem was obviously a factory issue.
