claycrusher
I've got a quick question- can 10 rd STI 2011 mags be converted back to full capacity? I'm buying a Eagle that comes with 11 mags but all are 10 rd mags and I really would prefer the full 14. Thanks!

Badkarma
STI 10 round magazines are 10 rounders... one could wish they could be converted, but they can't. Single stack innards with a wide body look.

EkuJustice
You could use those mags to negotiate with as their value is much mess than a full capacity
claycrusher
The seller offered to back out as he had stated all of the mags were hi caps... not worth it with only 10s. I very much appreciate your timely advice!
Craig N
Could be a good gun for CDP.
yoshidaex
STI made two styles of 10 rounders. One style had ribs that were pretty deep that made them perform internally like single stack mags. The other had a deep dimple on both sides of the mag (about half way) that only allowed 10 rounds to be loaded. Which ones does he have?
claycrusher
Looks like most have the long vertical ribs and a couple had horizontal ridges a little less then half way up. The gun appeared fairly old, so likely the mags were too
yoshidaex
Possible to convert the horizontal ribbed mags but they are a PITA to convert. Easier to buy them.
392heminut
Possible to convert the horizontal ribbed mags but they are a PITA to convert. Easier to buy them. Yep, I did one once and it WAS a PITA! Don't think I would mess with it again.
