Rim is too thick. If you want a shorter case for a 45 long colt try Starline .45 cowboy brass.

Are there rub mark on the side of the hammer? Does your hammer have side to side play? Poor hammer alignment could cause inconsistent hammer fall. With almost every 929 I've worked with... shims were necessary to center the hammer and avoid rubbing on the frame. Just my experiences... just trying to help. Case checkers??? Coda is kydex... hit with some heat and gently form it to the colt magazine. Strip it down to just the body before applying heat...

Sent one in for repair January 20th... got an email discussing repairs needed, then nothing since. My last order for a timer took 7 months to fulfill... I have 2 more on order.

My SpeedBeez belt rack works fine... once I went through all my clips and checked for hold strength. Pulled out a couple clips that were marginal... haven't lost a clip since.

Your results might vary, but I've been using Black Rifle Balm (https://www.cherrybalmz.com/product-page/black-rifle-balm) after cleaning. I apply it around the barrel and on the extractor rod collar, where build up usually occurs. Build up on my 617 (worst case scenario) has been lessened significantly...

So what is the secret to getting custom-sized big butt grips? I've emailed Hogue (several times) and have never gotten a response. I have several big but grips and I too have room to spare on the "factory" ones.

The 2020 USPSA Hawaii State Championship is cancelled. All match fees will be returned. Looking for a gunsmith who can tig weld my frame. Would like to have the old scope mount holes filled and the frame drilled for the 5-hole (c-more + 2) pattern. The frame is a steel 1911 that was drilled and tapped for George Huenig's carbon fiber scope mount. Any lead would be appreciated. Badkarma
