Jody Waring
I popped in a gunshow yesterday and picked up some Frontier plated bullets in 124gr and 138gr. I realize most shooters are using strictly 115's or 124's for Open, but was curious to try some 135-147 grain projectiles for an experiment. Does anyone know of any loads for these weights with the lower power factor? I have never used this brand before, for a plated bullet, the quality looks really good. I am loading for a P9. Appreciate any and all input.

Kingman
When I started we were using 148 lrn out of almost all our guns. In a 9*21 I was using aa5. Do a search for ipsc loads under yahoo. Jeff Maas has a great page that has alot of the heavier bullet loads. With the old higher pf we beat the hell out of guns with the light bullets so alot of guys were shooting heavier ones. On another note, for most my practice I am going back to the 148's less bbl wear.
spook
Jody, I believe the Frontiers from South Africa are the same as Rainier (they link eachother on their sites too).
SmittyFL
It might not be true with the heavier bullet (haven't tried it) but the lighter plated bullets wouldn't hold together at open velocities. Just something to watch for.
