After shooting in 4 national matches and 5 world matches With a bunch of state and local matches this year I find that practice hones the skills I've seen that I peak at roughly 10000 rounds so I train hard the 2 weeks prior to a major match Shooting 800 to 1000 rounds a day for 5 consecutive days Finding a local match to see where I'm on the weekend prior to the major. ... I'll use the same match prep and stage ritual for each stage as. I would at the big show. .... Any kinks in the match will show up when the added stress and pressure of a major is placed upon onself..... The following week are 3 1500 round practices with Thursday typically a cleaning and fouling session. ... I never shoot a clean gun never.... One thing to remember is that shooting is a skill that is very much tied to your emotions and mental state as the time of the match.... I had an opportunity to sit with Jerry Barnhart at steel nationals the resounding thing that I took away from that conversation was to see every shot no matter how long it takes..... Sound advise to say the least. ... John

Why not check with the manufacturer there nice guy's I'm sure they will more than likely walk you thru it in detail

Have not had the chance to get together with him since New Mexico in 2011. Even though Peacemaker is one of the clubs I belong to I did not get the chance to talk to him at the Trijicon WC thing either. We used to chat on this forum long before we met. My team mate Mike and I are going down to shoot the regional in NC this Saturday also.

Easy fix ! Walk the table only once ... or dedignate a junior that needs help to claim a top prize. Id do that for sure...Maybee next year lol At the last nssf match I shot I gave what I won to a junior shooter shooting her first match. Made her day. She's hooked I'm sure. After returning from steel nationals and having a look at the top shooters guns the general look that I saw winning Was a 38 supper single stack frame with slides that looked like swiss cheese . I'd guess @ 7 oz 2 port ti or 3 port aluminum comp .. All the top ten except Jessie were running c more upright mounted optics. The point being if you want to be competitive look at what the top guys are running to see what works. The guns were so similar the ten best shooters in the country. Ive been running the c-more for some time on the rifle .a mod that i used to get the sight lower was to drill and tap the rail that comes with the rifle. im running a black hawk stock. I agree getting a good check weld is dificult.ive been using a chin weld LOL ill be getting a magpul rear stock with one of there rissers next week. my new rifle is going to be fast!! once i get used to it !
