twister
I know several people have asked about switching a 45 to a 40,but is it possible to switch a 40 to 45? Would I need to buy a new slide, or can I get by with a barrel change? Any help would be appreciated,Dave.

Steve RA
Possibly, but if you like your present "lower", a complete slide assembly is less expensive than another gun.
ltdmstr
You'll need to replace the slide, barrel, ejector, extractor, firing pin (depending on brand/model), and magazines. Probably a new recoil spring too. Usually not worth the time, cost, or effort.
