jcc7x7
Put a set of EGW parts in a NM 9mm springfield and the hammer does not fit into the existing beavertail grip safety. I've altered it to work but would like one that is meant to work with a Springfield. I know they have a slightly different radius or profile cause my other 1911's don't fit the cut correctly. So looking for the one made to fit the Springfiled and yes I know it will still have to be fitted. Been out of the game for about a year and cant remember who's Beavertail to start with. thanks for the help
JaeOne3345
Read this thread. .220 is closest, but you will still need a jig according to one poster. Scott L
Smith & Alexander used to be the only company that made the .220 radius. Not sure if that's still true.
Steve RA
They do, but get the little jig they have as it will allow you to do a good job, even if you haven't done one before. Brownell's have both.
Quack
Wilson BTGS will fit the stock cut. What EGW parts did you install to where the factory BTGS doesn't work? Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk
Suicycle
Was you gun already cut for a beavertail, loaded model? If you have mil spec style ears you should be able to fit any compound radius to it. If not you can have it welded up and a .250 fit for a much higher grip. I just had Alchemy Custom Weaponry weld up my Range Officer and blend the magwell while it was there. I have no experience with the .220 but have read it is a "close" fit for springers. fatcat
EGW recently added a .220 version of their beavertail. http://www.egwguns.com/miscellaneous-parts/egw-beavertail-grip-safety-.220-radius/
