A6Gator
I have some of the early California Competition Works 4 round shell caddies with the little springs on each side on the shell side and the stiff spring steel on the belt attaching clip, rather than the newer flat, single spring models. I was wondering if anyone out there has converted their early CCW shell caddies to the Safariland ELS system. I got an ELS-Kit with the ELS 34/35 locking forks, but it doesn't look like an easy or clean conversion. I'm good with drilling holes or super gluing stuff, but this one looks like it's beyond that. Anyone done this before?
E53X5
I just drilled the holes through the back of the metal belt clip of the CCW caddies and attached the fork to it.
ncopenshooter
I just drilled the holes through the back of the metal belt clip of the CCW caddies and attached the fork to it. Here's your answer. Easy and it puts a nice forward cant on the carriers.
assaulter
I did the same thing with some 6 rounders. They work just fine. Just a pita to line up the bolt under that clip.

AustinWolv
I think I have extra ELS backplates if you need them.
GunCat
I took off the metal clip and drilled/counter sunk two holes through the front of the caddie for # 6 machine screws with nuts to secure ELS fork on to the caddie. You can use two of the original clip screws (with a small washer added) put back into place to hold the wire springs in place.
