25 yard sight in help

I am going to an indoor range tomorrow and want to do a rough sight in on my ar. I will be shooting 25 yards.How high or low should I set it for a 200 yard zero? I just want to get close till I can get to the rifle range.

About an inch and a half low at 25 will put you on at 100 yards.

A 25 yard zero is approximately a 300t o 340 yard zero. A 50 yard zero is a 200 yard zero.

Alaska, am I interpreting that middle chart correctly -

if you sight in a .223 at 50 yards (with scope 2" above

bore) your bullet will be within 2" of aimpoint from

0 - 250 yards?

Is that for a .223 55 grain bullet?

I have always used 2.6" as the sight height on an AR.

1" low at 25 yards is always my starting point for a proper zero.

For a 3000 fps 55 boat tail, 1.3" low at 25 gives a 200 zero. Sight height is usually 2.6 or 2.7".

Thanks for the help. I bought a used gen1 swaro and cant wait to get it setup. I am going to try to shoot it tomorrow. Things keep coming up when I try to find the time.

If you have the SWARO with the BRT reticle crank it up to 6x and then sight in at 25 yards with the first mil mark under the lit dot. That is my 300 yard hold which also corrosponds closely to 25 yards.
