ohsevenflhx
I have been shooting a CZ TS 40 s&w major all season. This week I got out my Beretta 92A1 and shot it at the range. The slide isnt hanging up or anything. It is well lubricated, but when I shoot minor 9mm, it seems like the slide just goes back then forward, thunk-thunk. No jams, and it's operating fine with 400 rounds today. Is it just that I'm used to a faster recoil or do I need to change my recoil spring? pivoproseem
Beretta 92s do not use the Browning short recoil system like the TS does, so it would seem to recoil differently, I suppose.
Sarge
What is the 9minor load? Maybe 147's? Might need a lighter spring if you are running light loads especially with heavier bullets.
ohsevenflhx
I am using 124gr MG-CMJ with 4.0gr Titegroup. They chrono about 135PF out of a Glock 34. I think I will try the lighter recoil springs till I find something that feels better. Do you think it could be the factory buffer block they put in it that is affecting recoil speed? NuJudge
For what it is worth, on some of my Beretta pistols the slide seems to reciprocate faster when I use an oil like CLP, than when I use something like Slideglide.
ohsevenflhx
I changed loads, and recoil spring.
