Mark K
My Swiss Gear laptop backpack is on it's last legs. I has worked pretty well for an $80 EDC Laptop backpack. But, I am looking for recommendation on if there are other good options out there. Needs to be able to carry the normal IT Pro kinda stuff (Laptop, cables, power supply), normal life stuff (checkbook, etc), but have a place for full sized 1911-type and reloads. Mark K. diehli
5.11 COVRT 18. http://www.511tactical.com/All-Products/Bags-Backpacks/COVRT/COVRT-18-Backpack.html Very comfortable bag. I carry mine on a daily basis. I bought mine a while ago at Shoebuy.com, which is still the cheapest place I've found once you use the coupon for 20% off (SCHOOL2012): http://www.shoebuy.com/511-tactical-covrt18-backpack/443499/943796 I'm finally getting mine setup so I can carry a gun and mags in the gun compartment with 5.11's holster pouch and mag pouch. digby7
not sure what you want to spend but I have one of these and its pretty nice: http://www.tumi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4210000&prodFindSrc=paramNav for a few years I was constantly traveling and I slowly migrated over to tumi stuff. its expensive but it lasts and theyre very good at thinking of all of the little things. Cknapp
I carry a Oakley panel pack. There is a ton of storage and the amount of pockets is awesome. The latest quartermaster catalog has them for 89.99 in the black or tan or 99.99 in the multicam
Nik Habicht
I've been happily carrying a Kelty Redwing 3100 on Vlad's recommendation for five years now. Daily briefcase, fully loaded travel backpack, and anything in between....

Aircooled6racer
Hello: Look at the Maxpedition packs. The messenger bags may do all you want or the backpacks. Little pricey but built to last. Thanks, Eric

683beretta
I second the Maxpedition line, tougher than nails and you can add and delete accesories as your application changes.
