notti555
Hi Everyone Been lurking on the forum for a year or 2 now and thought i would start my first post. Tried the search function to no avail but i couldn't find what i was looking for, anyways Ive just picked up a new Lyman 2500 pro magnum tumbler and the tumbling action of the media doesnt have that inward rolling effect that it should. The media just seems to vibrate in a clockwise motion around the bowl and the cases just seem to sit on the top and not fall into the bowl like it should. so far ive tried loosening the threaded bolt up and down to try and change the shaking action but i still get the same result out of it. Ive also tried different amounts of media in the bowl but i still get the same result. its almost like the machine is not shaking hard enough. Is there any other adjustments or something that im missing to get my tumbler to work properly? Thanks

RevolverJockey
I have only used a Berry's then the larger dillon. Doesn't matter how much or little media is in the tumbler. Works great. Corey
Play around with the combination of amount of media/brass. I have a Lyman 1200 that will do that if its not full. When I add more to it, its starts to roll over like it should.
SLM
What Corey said. Sounds like not enough media / brass to me. That's what mine does if there isn't enough weight in it.
notti555
Alright, i will play around with the brass/ media ratio and get back to you. Thanks
RePete
I have a 2500 and am not having problems. It takes 5lbs of media, plus 2 or 3 used bounce dryer sheets. 100 x.388LM brass fills it, but I haven't counted 9mm, 40 and 45. I doesn't work well if you don't put enough brass in it. I have noticed that the tumbling action is different from my 1200 and 2200.
Scootertheshooter
It is my understanding that a tumbler uses the brass to help clean . You need to put enough brass in so the brass vibrates against one another
