gcambi
I have a JP open Remington w/ the compensator ~1/2 way down the bbl, and I'm looking for suggestions re: ammo that will reliably run it. I used up all my handloaded old bowling pin practice ammo, and am now discovering it wont run on the cheap wally world winchester. Thanks in advance... Zebraman
I have a friend that as that same shotgun. I believe he uses the Wally World Federals. Have you tried these? My 1187 had problems with both the Remington and Winchester Wally World bulk packs. But my gun will run with the Federals. Also make sure you run your gun WET. Especially around the gas system. That is my 2 cents for whatever it's worth.
RH45
I use AA, 3 dram loads, with 1 1/8 ounce of shot for matches. Sometimes, for practice, I'll run 2 3/4 dram. My thought is that if it runs 2 3/4 dram for trap, clays, ect, when it really doesn't matter, I want to bump up to the 3 dram for matches, just to be on the safe side.
