It all depends on the road you're driving on.

If it's a curvy road, braking down can help you, if it's a straight road, you're wearing out your brakes for nothing.

Sometimes being slowed down (by coscience) helps you put things in the right perspective, sometimes it's just...a waste of time!

Having said this, I suppose that being able to discern when it's useful to brake or not is the major difficulty... :huh:

Exactly. Nothing in the area of "conscience" is completely cut and dry in life. I tend to 'drive' with the thought that the brakes are both my friend and/or my impediment, DEPENDING. :)
