719118
Got idea of shooting IPCS Production and IDPA SSP with the same weapon, can it be done with Sphinx 3000? Another idea is CZ 75 SP-01 SHADOW 2012. What do you think?
HoMiE
Will it make the weight limit?
719118
Sphinx site is under construction.. But i managed to fins some information. Seems like standard version weights 1040g + magazine. Dont know how much magazine weights, how much is CZ magacine? world.guns.ru/handguns/hg/switch/sphinx-3000-e.html Like shadow, its possible to have weight taken off the sphinx too. I think its also legal in IDPA SSP.
hkguy
the sphinx would be close on weight its about 36.7 oz with out a mag and at about 8.5 in long you should still fit the box. so i would think its good to go as long as it makes weight. Sources http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg/switch/sphinx-3000-e.html http://www.metric-conversions.org/weight/grams-to-ounces.htm http://www.metric-conversions.org/length/millimeters-to-inches.htm your really gonna have to get creative to make the shadow work, CZ lists the weight at 2.4 lbs (38.4 oz) which is just under the limit for SSP of 39 oz and i am not sure if that includes a empty mag or not. you could shoot either gun in ESP due to the increased weight limit of 43 oz compared to the 39 oz in SSP. Bigpops
My wife contacted IDPA headquarters concerning her 3000 a month or so ago. Response - NOT legal. Please let me know if you hear otherwise. Steve
pivoproseem
The key ingredient to making an SP-01 make weight are Marschal Grips like these.... Sp-01 light weight grips ..but I'm not sure if IPSC rules allow non-factory grips. You will need to use the 10 round magazine, too.
