So is this another PRO, Semi-pro, divisional 3GN match?

It's on the 3GN site but I did not see it listed as one of the "offical" matches.

If so my registration will be postmarked today!

I spoke with Charles yesterday, the POC for the match, he said it is one of the "Club" 3GN matches. After reading the 3GN site info again it does say "Club" series.

It does sound like a great match, jungle runs, targets out to 450 yds.

The club website says they get 70 shooters at their monthly 3 Gun match.

I might have to make it!

Todd was the one who mentioned it to me the other day. I am seriously looking at going, will drop them an email and see if there are openings. Looks like the closest "big" match for the area.

I talked to the Match Director Monday via E-mail and he said you better register soon since they are filling up fast thanks to the advertising by 3 Gun Nation. I sent in my information yesterday so hopefully I shall make it in since I imagine my letter shall get their quickly since I am only about 3 hours away from the match.

For those just hearing about this match from 3GN and strongly considering it, do yourself a favor and get your registration in the mail yesterday. The piece of property that will host this match is also utilized for Woody's DMR match, lots of photos in the linked thread. This will mostly be a natural terrain match so make sure you're in shape as I'm quite certain there will be a fair amount of movement on each stage. :D

What do you consider in shape? Rounds a shape right?

Yes, round technically is a shape;, though likely not the optimum shape for this match. :) I myself need to trim down the tactical tummy for this match. I just know the MD's and the venue well enough to know that there will be a fair to good amount of movement on the stages. The venue certainly has the real estate to do several long jungle run type stages. I don't anticipate any stand and shoot type or minimal movement stages due to being limited by pistol bay widths and depths. Hope to see you all there.

Folks if you have any questions about our matches email me at info@tarheel3gun.com or call me at 919-201-7990 or 919-422-6465. The June match is going to be a blast and it is filling up. Also consider making one of our monthly matches. We are one of four select clubs for the 3 Gun Nation Pilot program for the club series. Our monthly matches will also prep you for the June event. Make sure you go to our web page and add your email to our Google group. We require pre registration on the monthly matches...we get about 100-120 pre registrations for the monthly match and only take 93 shooters. 3GN was present at our last match and posted the following video http://3gunnation.com/media/videos/tarheel_3-gun

We are the brand for 3 Gun on the East Coast!

Go to http://tarheel3gun.com/dprc/ The monthly matches are held at the Durham Pistol and Rifle Club which IS NOT located in Durham NC it is in Haw River NC (Mebane NC) which is about 25 miles west of Durham NC near Greensboro NC.

We will have some movment but its not going to be S/F selection like some other events...we are shooters not runners.

Thanks,

Hope to see you at the Range!

With regard to movement on stages, some of Andy's Blue Ridge stages are so long you need 2 passports and a couple of visas to complete them and his match fills as soon as registration opens, and at nearly twice the entry fee. No one seems to mind the difficulty if the prize table is big.

Shooters always bitch about how difficult a stage is, then later brag about how it was in the old days.LOL.

As popular as this match is, I'd guess those putting it on know what it takes to be successful. I'm looking forward to it.

It is that time again..Registration will open tonight at 9pm for the April 7th, 2012, Tarheel 3 Gun Match hosted at the Durham Pistol and Rifle Club (DPRC), which is NOT located in Durham NC. DPRC is located in Mebane NC.

Mark it down...Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 9pm, the registration link we go live…the link will be located on the landing page for http://tarheel3gun.com/ . We only have slots for 94 shooters for this match, so make sure you get to http://tarheel3gun.com/ at 9pm on Saturday, March 17, 2012…slot fill up fast…last match we had over 110 folks register for the match. Remember that you must receive a confirmation email that you are in the match…just filling out the info from the link doesn’t grant you a shooter slot. All shooter slot confirmations will be sent out prior to April 4, 2012.

Got my confirmation for the June match. Looking forward to getting into a monthly match before then.

Was happy to get mine as well, was worried I was late to the party. Unfortunately the only local (coastal GA) 3 gun match between now and the Tarheel is same day as the SC sectional pistol match. Tough finding multi-gun matches around here.

It took a couple weeks. But as stated in the post above, he is opening some more slots so I doubt you'll have a problem getting in
