hal1955
I have never shot a 226 . I like the take down lever under my left thumb. Would riding the lever or pushing down on it during firing affect the performance of the gun in any way ? Joe L
Nope. The lever is usually very snug in the gun and you won't move it with grip pressure anyway.
jcc7x7
I've shot SIG's for a long time and have never had a problem with the takedown lever moving.
hal1955
If i use the take down lever as a weak hand thumb rest and push down on it while the slide is cycling will anything nasty happen ? Like the slide flies off or the gun locks up ?
spd522
I have shot SIGs since '89, including competition, and never had an issue with the take down lever. Now I have had my right thumb ride the slide lock lever and prevent the slide from locking back when the mag is empty. But that is from occasionally reverting back to a 1911 type hold with high thumbs. If I pay attention, it's not an issue. Craig
