twister
I recently purchased a Glock 24 to shoot in Limited. I bought a set of Heinie sights [for the over 50 crowd] and the gun shoots about 3" low at 50ft. What's the best solution for this problem? Thanks for any help, Dave
JaeOne3345
A shorter front sight, if they offer one, would be a viable option. Edited October 18, 2011 by JaeOne3345

a.roberts
If it's a plain black front, take a file to it. Or buy a shorter front.
twister
I'm not sure how to measure the front sight, but it's .140, if you don't measure the base, .210 if you do. Dawson doesn't have anything shorter than the .140.
Braxton1
That'd be a .210 sight (The base is included, for a total height above the slide). Dawson offers a lot of different heights and thicknesses, so you'll be able to find something that works for you. If it were me, before spending the money, I'd have some other good shooters shoot the gun to ensure that it wasn't a small consistent "anticipating recoil flinch" that was causing the low shots. twister
I called Dawson, and ordered a new front sight. Hopefully it will fix my problem. Thanks for all the help, Dave
