Mat Price Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 I have been shooting my other trubor since I am more than likely either selling or sending my main gun to finishing in the next few weeks. The issue I am having with this one straight from STI fitted there is the thumb safeties are eating my strong hand up as they over hang the frame in the off position. What do you guys use to blend them? I was thinking of radiusing the edges of them with some jewelers files to blen it better to frame. This should stop it from biting me so yes ? R-Bros_JLR Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 I used a combination of round and flat files to blend mine in followed by some fine sandpaper to smooth out any file marks. kalaur Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 I used a dremel and a fine sanding drum, you just need to be very careful as you can take a LOT of material off in a hurry. Once you've done that, you can use the little rubber polishing wheels to take out the larger grinding marks, then use a felt polishing attachment and some flitz to completely smooth it out.
