ogiebb
anybody tried this yet? i tried to do a search about it but nothing really helpful. i was thinking of getting one as a back up for my heavy recoil master (if it breaks)
Philip Dedmon
I have one in a Springfield 5" 45 of mine. I have fired the pistol about 500 rds. so far and it is doing fine. The Dawson Tooless Recoil Rod is really nice when you are test recoil springs. You can change springs really fast with it.
shred
They're cool. I notice no difference until it's time to field-strip. Then it's click-push, done, no hunting around for another bent staple or paper-clip.
Interceptor
What prevents it from accidentally engaging while firing, or being jarred?
shred
There's a spring keeping it in the 'closed' position. It takes a good squeeze to free up the lever.
Jon Merricks
Or you could get a heavy recoil master for a back up so that way there should be no diffrence in how your gun feels.
