Jim Norman Posted August 26, 2011 Author Share Posted August 26, 2011 Gonna be interesting. I spent 13 weeks in St. Croix after Hugo hit. Unbelievable what a hurricane can do. Followed that up a bit later with Marilyn, Floyd was just a lot of rain for us, but 5 miles away people that had never seen flooding were swimming. Drove home from Tulsa a couple hours ahead of Ike back in 2008. I was really quite content to see Earthquakes, Forest Fires and Hurricanes on the 6-o'clock news! Didn't really need a first hand experience. We live inland far enough that we only have to worry about rain and wind, no storm surges here. Monday might be an interesting day.
