Insights on Bianchi Cup

I just purchased a S&W 10 that's been all done up for Bianchi.  It's ready to rock & roll except for the aweful Pachmayr rubber grips on it.  Does anyone make a decent grip for Bianchi or are they mostly custom made grips?

I used Miculek grips on my Cup revolver and I loved them.   I do have short fingers, though.  I've been told that guys with larger hands find them a bit small and hard to hold on to.

If you're shooting open and going prone you want the Hogue grips that have a huge area for resting the gun on the ground.

  2alpha's right about Hogue's.  It's called a "Big Butt" grip, and even stock gun shooters can shoot from prone at the 50-yd line on the Practical event.  It raises the gun higher for a better sight picture and gives you a solid "rest" to boot.

I need a Big Butt huh?  LOL  This recommendation led me to some research and it seems that Nill Grips have a very similar grip that was designed for PPC and Bianchi.  It costs about $10 more than the Hogue, but the Nills are custom made for your hand (I think?).  

Anyone here have any experience with Nill Grips?  I'm leaning towards the Nills, but have never handled a set.

Man, I love my OLD pachmayr grips. I never liked the newer ones though... too skinny.

Bill, the Nill's are custom made and arguably the best grips in the world (IMO). However, the custom fit requires you to go to the factory and have them measure your hands and show them how you grip the gun etc. You can also give them a drawing of your hand, but the fit will be less "custom". They're great grips. BTW, you can also buy blanks (partly finished) from Nill.
