"volume reloading?" Ha. When my frineds and I were "The Gang of Four" (Uncle Vinnie will recognize the reference) we'd get together and load on a group 1050. We'd meet, have Italian food, then settle down for an evening of high-volume loading. We once did 1552 rounds in one hour by the clock, of .45 ACP.

We figured out how to prep and load .223 and .308, loaded .45, .38 Super, 9mm. That was when we'd be getting tumbler media in 5o pound bags and .45 brass in 55 gallon drums. Ah, the good old days.

I'm finally coming to realize that if I want good ammo, I can't expect to crank it out in a hurry. I can load 750 rounds per hour on my SDB, if I have everything set up, and occasionally I'll do that w/ practice ammo. But my production rate on match ammo is about half that, because, at least with my load and technique, twice the time gets me half the ES and SD.

Mebbe having a 650 would let me speed up but stay smooth and consistent (funny how that applies to loading ammo as well as shooting).
