.45er
I had loaded and shot 3.5 gr of clays for a minor load in my Glock 35. Very soft shooting. I would have to find my load data to give you OAL.
raz-0
I shot production using about 132pf loads using either 165gr plated or jacketed, or 170gr moly coated. I definitely wouldn't call it so soft shooting it was like cheating. In the end with the right bullet choice, I could make it feel very similar to running a 9mm minor gun with 124gr or 147gr heads, and not much better. So I was shooting it for the convenience it afforded me in my reloading setup and component stockpiling. If I just wanted maximal production practice for the cheapest cost, I'd have to choose to go 9mm.
ncboiler
Could you post or PM your chrono data? I'm running 4.2 grains with an average of 130 pf out of my 5". This loads makes nearly 140 pf out of my standard length. Alfie, I was finally able to run 10 loads of 4.0g N320 at 1.130" over the chrono tonight. I aveaged 135.6 PF. This was out of a M&P40 PRO. Hope this helps. Aaron

Downrange58
My G35 really seems to like 3.1 of Solo 1000 at 1.111 OAL and a #13 recoil spring which gives me a consistent 135 PF. I also have a load of N320 at 3.3 1.13 that feels very similar but I haven't had a chance to chrono it yet, but I suspect it will run very close to the 135 PF mark. Hope this helps! HuntingPaper
Good little article on softer 40 loads .... http://www.handgunsmag.com/ammunition/40lite_091806/index1.html?bcsi-ac-33F88203AE5731F3=1B69BB9A00000004xcym8Dp9kHgvjNVlE3yNMRy73ta3BAAABAAAAGQBIAFAOAAAAAAAAK6BDAA= I like the way my 180g MG w/ N320 loads felt in my M&P 40 Pro. Very nice production load How much powder are you using? I just started using the same bullets and powder and I'm curious what you ended up with? 4.0g of N320 at 1.130" I will probably run 10 over the chrono this weekend. I'm very interested on see your chrono results. Are you shooting fmj, cmj or jhp?

Joe D
A G35 loaded to the same PF as a G34 does shoot softer. I have both. I use a 160 gr lead bullet in the 34 and a 180 gr lead bullet in the 35. My favorite load in .40 is 2.4 gr of Clays at a 1.140" OAL. It goes 746 fps out of a LWD barrel.
RobfromME
Good afternoon, Here's what I've used for 40 minor: 3.5 grains Titegroup Rainier RNFP 180 grain bullet CCI 500 primer 1.127" OAL Temp that day was 70F..still makes minor at 30F. I shoot that in my G22 with a reduced power (15 lb) recoil spring. It will function fine with the factory spring, but the slide won't lock back on an empty mag. With the 15 lb spring, everything works as it should. It does, however, make my hands look like they're covered in black flies after shooting a stage! But, the gun stays clean and functions well. It also drops the brass right at your feet. Warmest regards, Rob Edited June 9, 2011 by RobfromME
