Gregg K
Does a match bump count as a classifier for that division? Yes, but it has to be recorded. You're good for 12 months after a match bump. Not according to the rule clairifications on the IDPAforum. Here is the quote... The classifier is to be shot at least once every 12 months regardless of re-classification at sanctioned matches (unless you are a master class shooter). Hope that answers any questions you may have. Steve J
Based on Dru's clarification, if I get my card signed as let's say ESP EX due to a match bump, that entry for all intent and purpose is identical to an entry for shooting a classifier. Why would my next classifier have to be earlier than 12 months after the match bump? I'm still fulfilling the requirement to shoot it every 12 months am I not? Strick
That's a shame. It should have be uploaded. Only the club hosting the sanctioned match can upload a match bump on line. Your home club could still add it to the new card, but I know that's not the same. It would have been nice to have nice easy typed out card with all my MA classes on it since I won't be shooting any more classifiers or getting bumped again. ernieb
So I am gathering from earlier posts that if I have obtained a master class rating that I do not have to shoot a classifier to participate in a state level match requiring an annual classifier? I haven't shot a classifier since '09 but I am classified as an SSP master. I would like to shoot a local state match but with my work travel schedule will not have an opportunity to shoot another classifier before then. Thanks for the insight. "Sir, Bumping up at a match counts for the classifier requirement. Sincerely, Sandra Tumbleson IDPA Staff" Did it change?
