Jon Merricks
I have been looking at some of the scores in diffrent matches. There always seems to be several DQs. I was just wondering what is the most common reason someone gets the boot. Any body willing to tell about thier DQ?
Scooter
AD's are probably the most common. I got DQ'ed for dropping my gun on a transfer between hands.
38supPat
Up here its probably even between AD's and break 180's. With more open courses of fire some will blaze past then turn to shoot.BAAAAAD! Pat
Detlef
I always get confused about *turn then draw* or *draw then turn*..... --Detlef
ErikW
Probably 180 violations, getting the body ahead of the gun. But I think the #1 reason should be finger in the trigger guard during remedial action, it's just rarely enforced. Most people are OK with the finger on reloads and movement, but they keep it in there clearing a jam.
PaulW
I've seen more DQ's for AD's.....but more people should have been DQ'd for 180 violations.....
38supPat
There's alot out there that should get done for finger on trigger, but from my RO experience you can never really be in a position to see it. And if you can't say for sure you saw it, there's not much you can do. Pat
jswan
Is it considered breaking the 180 if you face uprange with the gun pointed straight down? Or does the muzzle itself have to break the 180? I asked this of an RO and he avoided the question; he just said "If you break the 180 you will be DQ'd". Jay
Phil Dunlop
Jswan, its all about the gun. There are plenty of stages where the shooter turns and runs uprange keeping the gun pointed downrange behind him. P.D.
