Just recieved my mags back, I think there was something about loading them overnight and setting the sring? Does anyone know or just load and shoot.

Right- load them up and leave over night,

to set the spring. May even take 24hrs. or

longer. Ask B. Grams what he says!

I have never heard of doing this and have never had any problems with grames springs. Please fill me in on what this will achieve.

Hello: I would load them and unload them 10-15 times while watching TV, then let them sit overnight. Thanks, Eric

It's cycling that's determinative of life. "Setting" the spring might allow for easier loading to full capacity initially, but It doesn't do anything "for" the spring/mag. Cycling rounds through it just shortens the spring's usable life.

Ok so by "setting" the spring it's just getting that last round in sooner. For example, I have one big stick that when I change the spring I only get 27 rounds but after a week or two of use I can get 28. Thats all that setting achieves?

Hello: The spring will take an initial set and will stay there for a long time. After a year or so I would replace the springs and possibly the followers. Does that help? Thanks, Eric

i gave up on all the wifes tales......went to the match loaded the mag shoot had no problems ....no mikes not enough A but the mags worked ....im happy
