USPSA Equipment Survey

Thanks Flex for the response. I'm specifically looking at the production guns. I want to know which guns are the most popular in Production and the quanity of them used at the nationals.

For IDPA I found these:

IDPA - 2009

http://www.idpa.com/tj.asp?ID=252

IDPA - 2007

http://www.idpa.com/tj.asp?ID=173

You see where there were 136 Glocks not all used in production but there were 71 model 34s used. Compared to 6 XDs if I combine the reg XD and the tactical. The M&P faired slightly better at 39 9mm.

I suspect that Glock still dominates but was interested in the ratio. Other contenders that would be interesting to see would be the CZ line of pistols as well. Again, interested in numbers of guns used in Production Only. Thanks.

If it's easy to find and to post the top 5 that would be sufficient. Appreciate your help.

March/April in 2010 had some details about the equipment from 2009 Nationals, on Page 16

Thanks for the info. I don't have that issue, can I bother you to post the numbers of guns used for the following 4 makes:

Glock:17 +34s

XD

M&P

CZ

Again, just interested in the production guns. I just listed the model 17 and 34 because those are the two most often shot in production. It's not reasonable to include the 22 and 35s in that number. I'm not comparing Smith vs Glock or Springfield but again just their product models. Thanks for you help.

I would really appreciate the help if it isn't too much bother.

Rick

I am really surprised. Why don't more people use hk guns?

The barrels are short (sub 5") and they have DA first trigger pull.

Horrible triggers, little to no support, refusal of HK to send anyone but a HK dealer even a simple part.

Hi Clay! One caution for you: listing "manufacturers" can be very misleading.

E.g.:

-manufacturers of 1911/2011s: dozens. Too many to count.

-manufacturers of Glock style guns: One (maybe 2 if you include that steel/aluminum aftermarket frame).

If you break down 1911s by maker, it might appear as if few 1911s were used in a match, whereas that would not happen if you broke it down by "style" or "operating system" or "and clones."

Look at the list below. "CZ" is listed as 17 guns or 12.5 percent, but the IMI is most certainly a "75" also, as is the Tanfoglio listed. Thus, "75s" (of any maker) actually totaled 19 guns instead of 17.

75s have been made in dozens of countries; the maker in the Czech Republic is but one manufacturer (though they invented the design in 1975).

Here is the information that USPSA just sent me.
