.40 major with VV N350

I usually shoot a Zero, 180 grain jhp, with Titegroup, but, I have some N350 I use in my .38 Supercomp, and was toying with the idea of trying some in the .40.

I looked on VV website, and they don't list 320 for a .40, but, it seems to be what most people use. They do list some loads with 350, but, even at the lowest load that's listed, I think I'd be about 190pf.

Has anybody loaded N350 in a .40, with oal about 1.2"??

I've used 340 many moons ago and it was acceptable, just barely. I would think 350 would be even worse. Sorry no data.

I loaded some but for a Glock 24C with 155gr MG HP. 7.15 @1.135

Federal Gold Medal Match Magnum Avg 1108

Test was primarily to check velocities with different primers.

FWIW, we used to use N350 under 200 gr bullets when the major PF was 175. When it dropped to 165, N320 took over.

There are a lot better powders for 180grn bullets in 40 S&W. JMHO.
