  1. My Shadow 2 are still in all factory state, all springs and internal parts are still original. I shoot 135g BBI bullets using Titegroup and they feel soft for me. My load metered about 132 PF in my chrony. I can't complain about it, although I'm planning to change some springs in the future to trim down a few lbs in the trigger pull. ?

I’m a fan of just using a rosin bag, I’ve tried pro grip and while it works very well it’s not available locally, the last time I ordered some one bottle came in and was already dried out.

You can still use it by diluting the dried Pro Grip with Isopropyl Alcohol then shake it well. It will be as good as before.

As long as it doesn't add anything that could be construed as a magwell or thumbrest, it's fine.

You are reading the rules correctly.

Appendix D4 21.4 used to read:

    • For semi-automatic Production guns, grip tape, grip
sleeves, checkering, stippling or other texture may only be applied in the areas shown in appendix E4. Glue and grit is considered the same as stippling.
    • Replacement grip panels are allowed provided they
do not extend below the butt of the gun to form a make-shift magwell.
    • Revolver grips may be replaced with OFM or aftermarket grips of any shape, profile and surface texture.
    Special Notes/Clarifications:
    • See 22.2, below, for specifics with regard to modifications on revolver grips.

After the changes it now reads:

    • Grip modifications such as, but not limited to, undercutting/smoothing the trigger guard, adding or removing finger grooves, or adding stippling, grip tape, or checkering are allowed. Replacement grip panels are allowed provided they do not extend below the butt of the gun to form a make- shift magwell.
    • Revolver grips may be replaced with OFM or aftermarket grips of any shape, profile and surface texture.
Special Notes/Clarifications: See 22.2, below, for specifics with regard to modifications on revolver grips.

Good info, Thank you!!! I had the same question as the OP...

That is what I did on my Tanfo's.

According to the new USPSA production rules, oem safeties are legal and aftermarket safeties are also legal. "Aftermarket" is defined in appendix A3 of the USPSA rulebook as "Items not manufactured by, or directly available from, the Original Firearm Manufacturer. Once you bugger with the grinder I think it is safe to say you will have an item not directly available from the manufacturer.

So I think the bottom line is buy the safety you want or feel free to grind away.

Thanks for the info!!! I had the same question as the OP.

Per the February, 2018 update to App D4, it no longer matters if the safety is on another approved model:

    21.6

    Exchange of minor External components

Sights, firing pins, firing pin retainers, pins, extractors, magazine releases, slide stops, thumb safeties, triggers, hammers, bushings, and ejectors MAY be replaced with OFM or aftermarket parts.

Happy to see this!!! Thanks for the info!!!

  7. @Ludde, thank you for the info. That's what i thought from most of what i'm seeing in youtube but not entirely sure! thanks for the confirmation. I have a follow up question though, does the disassembly of CZ 75 are completely similar in all lines/models, up to the smallest pin/parts or there are minor differences that i should know specially with Shadow 2?

    Thanks again!

  8. Good day, everyone!

I'm looking for an instructional video on detailed disassembly for CZ Shadow 2. I've searched Youtube already, and kept finding one for CZ 75 SP01 Shadow. Are the steps on disassembly really similar for these two?

If not, I would really appreciate if anyone can send me a link for one. It doesn't have to be a video as long as the instructions are clear and detailed. I just preferred video since i'm more of a visual person. :D

I appreciate any help and thank you in advance!

  9. I have found the Safariland holster that I am looking for, for my CZ Shadow 2, and am very happy with my purchase. The fit is superb and the adjustment screws guarantee a tight grip. I found the fit to my Shadow 2 to be perfect. Overall well made. I am very pleased. All I need to do is attached this holster to a Safariland's USPSA Kit Adjustable Hanger, and I'm set for Production Division (Of course I've got the rest of the gear as well, I was just missing the holster, lol). ;-)

  10. Hello there, people!!!

I just wanted to ask anyone of you guys if you know of any model of Safariland Holster that the CZ Shadow 2 would fit into it. I will call Safariland for this, but I figure I should ask here first.

I just wanted to add that I specifically am looking for Safailand brand and not currently interested in other brand of holsters.

Thank you in advance for your response!

    Regards,

    BASTi

  11. Sean at Power Factor Shooting also has a holster for the Buckmark.

I cannot find it on his web page. Is this a special order item?

BTW, even though I don't own one these holster, I was told by a BE member (and I verified with the folks at Hogue) that their Universal Speed Holster works with the Browning Buckmark.

    Hi Cy Soto!!!

I tried the Hogue Universal Speed Holster, bought it from MidwayUSA, and it didn't work for me. It wobbles a lot and won't hold the BM. I don't know if i'm doing something wrong but never spend time fixing it. I just returned the holster to MidwayUSA.

  12. I had a CR Speed for my Buckmark which worked well.

    Brookers

Hi Brookers! Do you mind sharing a picture of your BM holstered in a CR Speed? Coz, I thought of that before, among other speed holsters too, but I am just really too scaredy cat to try it since i never really heard of anyone else tried it before.

Although I already bought the suggestion that Ming the Merciles suggested, the holster for Ruger Mark III, it still needs some dremelling so i would be able to draw smoothly, but i think it would fit. I still wanted a speed holster style. ;)

Thanks in advance for the picture!!! ;)

    B'rgds,

    BASTi
