  1. Very nice. Love the hat cam shots!.....Great motivator. Made me get off my duff and do some dry firing Thanks

    Area 1

    That was very enjoyable. Thanks!
  3. No experience with the stock length, but I use T.H.E.'s extended in my G35 and love it. As soon as I installed it I could feel the added weight in the muzzle, and noticed a difference in muzzle flip. I also feel it helps to steady the muzzle for longer shots. For me it was a worth while investment. I was previously using two styles that I made. One was made Of CRS, and hardened. The other I made of 0-1 drill rod. There is a noticable difference in weight and performance with the tungsten. If you can find one in stock I say try it. You could recoupe most of your money if you don't like it. Good Luck BTW, I got mine from Matt @ CGR. I also believe his site list the weight difference's in different rods.
  4. +1 I too NEVER look at results until my last shot is fired. By shooting each stage to the best of my ability, I know that I have given my best performance without the influence of outside sources. +2 Always giving 100%, I know if I'm doing well or not. When It's over...."It is what it is"
  5. For steel, and IDPA I would look for a 9mm 1911. Unfortunately used ones are kind of hard to find. You may try Gun Broker, or Guns America Of course there should be plenty of 45's there Good luck
  6. No problems in our squad either......Just a lot of people shaking there heads
  7. Wow! i'll have to go back and look at the match results, but it looks like you did great! Yep....3rd overall. Way to go! Me? 36%....UGH! Thanks
  8. I'm still new to this. Started USPSA this year. This one was my 4th classifier in Limited. Unc. Limited Points = 58 Pen = 25 (1 late shot) Hit factor = 33% A - 8 C - 4 D - 1 NS - 2 LS - 1 How'd I do?
  9. Here's some good info. You can call and talk to BE himself with any questions if you'd like. I went with the 650, and it's one heck of a machine! http://www.brianenos.com/pages/dillon.html
  10. I had seen that. Good info. Thanks
  11. Congrats to her!! Very nice shooting. Great video editing too! I enjoyed that.... Thanks
  12. The Precision's came in yesterday. Very nice! Me like. Very consistant oal when seating. Do to the flat nose I had to seat them to 1.195/1.200". That's about .040/.045" shorter then the RN's I was using. I loaded them over 4.85 grs. of 231. I expect them to do very well. I'll follow up after my next range sesion. Thanks for the help guys
  13. Thanks Buddy. I've loaded some with 5.4gr. at an oal of 1.230". I'll just shoot'm up at local matches. If, and when I come across a crono with this load we'll then see what happens. I may end up using 200gr SWC's after I try some of Precision 230's in route to me now. I'll see how I like them. I may end up liking the 200 grainers better. I think I'm in the ballpark. Thanks again
  14. I have some Widener's 200gr. #068 LSWC leftover from years back that I want to finish off. I've seen data ranging from 5.0 to 5.8 here Win. load data shows 4.4 (771fps) to 5.6 (914fps) max @ 1.225" oal. Looking for about 850fps from a 5" 1911. I'm thinking 5.2 to 5.4 at an oal of about 1.245" Looking for Win. 231 data only please. I don't want this to turn into another 231 vs Titegroup, vs Clays, etc. Thanks
  15. I no longer have the P16, and getting rid of it is the best thing I've done in a long time. I too like and use Titegroup with jacketed bullets with very good results. So far 231 is working fine with the Black Bullets I'm using in my G35. I just need to up my charge for a safety margin shooting major. I am now using 231 for the 9, 40, and 45. All using either lead, or moly coated bullets. BTW, I replaced the Para with a SA 45 that shoots lights out. Gonna play some CDP, and SS
  16. Basicaly stock Springfield. EB magwell, Houge grips, Wilson extended mag release, ISMI 14# spring, and I narrowed the stock front sight to .100". I've only shot it twice, and it is scary accurate.
  17. Nah. They chamber fine. My crimp is consistant with the outside dia. of the case with a seated bullet. As far as I can tell the expander in my sizing die allows no movement under cycling, or recoil, and gives a consistantly firm hold. I'm begining to wonder if I had 2 different loads mixed
  18. The Precision's have not arrived yet, but I found some old BK 230 gr. lead RN I had sitting in my garage from years ago, and decided to give them a try. These are the ugliest bullets I've ever seen, but damn....they shoot! This is a target I shot with these bullets last week which was the 1st time I shot this 1911 Springfield. After sighting in at 15yds., and shooting some groups I went to the 25yd. line to see how well it was sighted in, and this was the first 5 shots offhand..... 5 = 1.847 Best 3 = .455 Loaded them over 4.8 grs. of 231 at 1.240", and they did great in an IDPA match this morning. Soft shooting! No smoke that I noticed. Hope the Precisions do this well Will update later Thanks
  19. Great pics! Enjoying them very much. Thanks for the link!
  20. Which model number? Could be this one unless it's retired, and he's now using a 40 like "feenz" said http://robleatham.com/vaultequipuspsalimited10.htm
  21. Mothers Day '06. We were nice enough to take her to the ball game
  22. Will do. I'm waiting for the bullets to arrive now. Just ordered them this morning. I have to borrow a 45acp conversion kit for my 650 from a buddy when they get here
  23. Got it. I definitely want to be closer to 170 then 165 PF Had a scare at the Va/Md Sectionals when my 40 load came in at 165.7 PF I've been using Masterblaster's in my 9mm and 40, so I won't be overcrimping Thanks a lot!
  24. Got it. That does indeed help. Thanks
  25. After searching I came up with anywhere between 4.9 to 5.5grs. Winchester's site list 4.3 to a max of 5.3 Odd, but Win. list an oal of 1.2" with 231 and an oal of 1.275" with WST, and WSF with the same bullet (230gr LRN) Looking for an CDP/Singlestack (major) load with Precision's 230gr RNF. I'm thinking of starting around 5.0 +- .10 This is from a 5" 1911. Wanting about 740fps. Any Crono data, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Bill
