  13. Doc says my Basil joints are gone and will eventually need surgery. Have heard great things about the results after the surgery but I hear the surgery is extremely painful and a long recovery time. I have been looking for someone who has had the surgery to talk to but have not found anyone yet.
  14. As time tics by I am starting to feel a little arthritis in my right thumb when i reach for the mag release on my SS 1911. I'm sure other people have run into this problem also and would like to hear about anything they have found to help with this problem. Perhaps a certain mag button or different spring perhaps. Also has anyone ever had that type of surgery done on their thumbs where they remove a couple of bones and then take a piece of tendon from your arm and place it where the thumb joint is. Just thinking ahead and trying to stay ahead of the problem. Thanks
  15. I use to use a 180 gr jacketed truncated cone in 40 caliber. When I switched to a 180 gr jacketed hollow points the accuracy improved. Both bullets were the same brand Zero's. So now I was thinking of doing the same with 45 acp loads only in 230 gr. Anybody have any oponions on this does the accuracy improve when you use a hollow point.
  16. Thanks for all of the info I will go to work on it and see if I can fix it
  17. I have 9mm STI mags with grams follower and spring and a STI base pad. Two of the mags have steel spacers and the third does not. All the mags do not feed the last round and the slide locks open. Now I have a stock STI mag and follower and it feeds fine and it feeds the last round. So what is the problem and where do I start to fix it. I am running these in a STI edge.
  18. The dreaded arthritis is starting to creep into my hands a little and I am looking for a mag loader that will work on STI or SV double stack magazines in 40 cal. Has anyone found one that works
