  1. It is my connector of choice. There have been some negative posts on Glock Talk about the LW connector - mostly by one guy. Some of the things posted did not make sense to me. The complaint was the connector had too much drag on the slide. That was an issue with the original design. The original design had no more slide drag than an unmodified Ghost connector. I sent JR some of his connectors that I modified to cure this problem. He came out with a thinned version that was much better, but still, IMO, had too much drag. The final version cured the problem.

LW also lowered the tab that the trigger bar slides down. Some Glocks had tolerance stacking that caused the striker to not release. Less than 5% of Glocks had this issue.

I have worked with JR on a couple of projects and must say he is very receptive to changes that will improve his products.

So there WAS a problem, someone complained; and theres a big sh%^storm b/c of it?

Doesnt make sense, sounds like LW was overly sensitive.

Cream always rises. if theres no issue, JR should have just ignored him, and be confident in his product.

  2. Call Kenny at Speed Shooter Specialties. He'll tell you what works.

I did just that , and we agreed upon a "variety pack". I got an 11#,13#, and 15#. I was shooting one of my own loads of .40 featherweight (135PF) first with the 15# then the 13#. I liked the 13 and it is staying there on the stainless guiderod he sold me as well. Beautiful.

That Kenny must be as smart as the guy who made the second post in this thread.

  3. for me; at 10:07 cst

    .com works,

    .org doesnt

on the .com, I get only the home page.

any attempt to log in as a member and i get the white page of death.

-and me trying to get out the Nats squadding and do my self squadding for Area 3.

    Ill try later :(

  4. Word!

I got to shoot on their squad, which was cool; even though I figured Id crash and burn trying to subconsciously "keep up" with them, even though I told myself consciously to shoot my own game.

120 penalty points later :surprise::surprise::surprise: , I proved once again that the subconscious rules.

Seriously though, I was a b-classer on a squad with 3 GMs, and at least 4 masters. Tell me Oklahoma aint the shiz. B)

  5. totally agree;

while even those "nice gun!" postes are annoying sometimes, especially if it bumps your ad lower down, I cant stand opinions.

Imagine if the seller really had to sell a gun because of impending foreclosure, or doctors bills, do you think your "nothing is worth that" post is helping the guy out?

Be cute and witty elsewhere in the forum.

    money's money.

  6. If you can knock em down with the 4" version, just imagine the boost youll get when you pickup a longslide version!

Thats what Im telling myself, anyway.

    Really, though,

When I do my part, the 4" version does its part. I can shoot standards with it, it has good accuracy, not great, but it can take me as far as I want to go.

Its not like the 5" will shoot itself. Plus, youre just in a holding pattern if you wait for the 5", you could be practicing with the platform RIGHT NOW.

  7. Hello everyone -

There has been some great information shared about the M&P, but I find it interesting that there seems to be no discussion about the extractor -

From what I have learned, the extractor is a factory-installed part. Although some owners have managed to get the extractor out of the slide, it is not something easily done - and the factory does not offer them for sale -

My source tells me that if the extractor breaks on the M&P, the slide needs to be replaced -

If this is indeed true, this issue is keeping me from buying the M&P - this part in any gun is a very hard service piece of the gun -

    Thoughts?

    sw

    Your source is wrong.

  8. The stock spring worked fine with minor 185gr PB loads.

Yes, the G17 springs work fine. ISMI is now selling springs badged for the M&P. They are G17 springs.

Id get a non captured GR and try out the 13#, and the 11#. I use the 15# as a direct replacement for the stock S&W spring.

  9. For what I do, it is the most versatile handgun caliber!!

King of limited division, perfect for L-10 as well. No problem for production or single stack and even, if I had the gun, would be very good choice for revo division. I've read here that some folks have even earned their M and GM cards in open with it.

Also, although my carry gun is a snubby 38, I do keep one of my M&P40s loaded with Rangers in my nightstand.

A toast to the 10mm short!!

   ¡SALUD!

610, Id guess; I think that its a bit of a liability with the speed reloads compared to the big noses of 45acp.
