this thing needs an extra inch.
-and an owner who's not color blind.

In any case, do you guys have problems w/ feeding (on 10round single stack mags) if you're slow-cycling the slide?
Don't slow cycle it. Pull it back and let go.
If you are having problems, I'd recommend taking it to a good smith.

600 grit sandpaper doesnt "polish" anything; it removes metal. Perhaps its not the disconnector that youre feeling when you hand cycle it, its the slightly uneven surface from hittting the rails with sandpaper. Detail strip the frame, lube the rails heavily, throw the slide back on, and work it smooth.
The trigger could be hanging up as well; see if that will slide out of the frame under its own weight and isnt hanging up on the frame someplace.

Can someone post a link on where to find the right dura coat so I can see the color choices? I have a Glock slide that needs some work.
google "lauer weaponry"; its on their website.

Not with a properly built gun with good parts it won't. I'm not recommending it as a dry fire technique, but it did get my "following" issue sorted out 100%. I know people are going to have a cow over it, but it beats the shit out of AD'ing when you're loading up.
I do the same thing .

yes, but that satin will last a heck of a lot longer than the matte.

Allrighty then, so I guess the general feeling is that the bake on stuff isn't that durable. I'll give it a shot and see what happens, and I'll post picks in then next couple of days and let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for all the advice, I'm definitely going to drench it in the TCE cleaner, bake it to preheat, then spray probably 3-4 very light coats using a hairdryer to dry in between, then bake for the 30 mins at 300 as Brownell's recommends. Wish me luck!!!
Sounds like you want gunkote; Its available from Brownells in a spray can and its way better than the moly teflon stuff.
Duracoat is best used if you bake it also, it just doesnt HAVE to be baked.
Duracoat and Gunkote are a tie, in my book, with the edge going to duracoat for the wider color selection.

I immediately think of the Lanny Bassham story about telling his daughter not to spill the glass she was carrying; he told her, she spilt it.
To shoot penalty free, as a goal, is really saying "focus" on not hitting no shoots, and not missing the paper.
There are better things to focus on, like the A zone.
man, Im one to talk about this crap.

Mental toughness is preparation and training.
Mental toughness only is necessary between match days, not on.

I shot this classifier yesterday with decent results.
7.33 seconds 56 points 7.6398 hf
I am currently a B Lim shooter but this one shows to be 79% on the calculator.
I am trying for my A card this year so the practice has been paying off. One more like this and I am in A class finally.
It was a good run, it looked smooth.
I shot it at 64% and that was 50 points with a mike on the last paper. And I buggered up the reload. So I dont understand how I managed to do it in 6.00sec. If, IF, that last shot woulda been an A, Id have been at 92%!!
At least my C class is safe til after area 3.

after Deal's Gap, 2005.
I sold this 02 concours last year, and Im holding out for a new Concours14.

You looked good out there today, Derrick. Nice match.
The squad was a hoot; Id fit in there like you have NO idea!
See you around.

It will be the same cut as the STI, but like almost any sight you get, no matter fixed or adjustable, there usually is some fitting (ie filing) to do.

Grips- Internal beveling
what could this possibly mean other than an allowance to shape the inside of the grip(magwell area)?
-
you can recontour the bump on the safety that the plunger rides over to a more acute angle. This will make the safety "snick" on and off a little louder and more positively.
-
Looks to me that the speedway will be perfectly legal, as its internal and not an "external" feature.

How much better can it get?? I'm from the old "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" school. My 47D's work just fine.
Man, you aint kidding, Im more excited about the coming deals to be had as the equipment chasers dump their 47D's.

dont forget that the firing pin has a spring; the hammer has to get the pin to overcome the spring and sufficiently dent a primer.

Ill take it!!!!!

how much??

heard a rumor has it the entire SS got a reshoot on stage 9, one of those briefcase stages.
Any info on this?

Form obviously follows function.
Those are the sexiest loking slabs of iron Ive seen in a long time.

This pistol has had so many different stippling and re-stippling patterns during its life so that there are remnants and relics of earlier uses and treatments of this particular gun.
No advantage to it on the side of the trigger guard, but no disadvantage either. I like the underside of trigger guards stippled sometimes, and it was more aesthetically pleasing back then to continue it up along the sides a bit.
Id say you found one of the lesser unattractive parts of this pistol to notice!
