  1. heres my Norinco single stack, picked it up very cheap, added a stainless magwell, beavertail, stainless bushing, throated the barrel, flared and lowered the ejection port, and added my favorite grips. got bored one day and started polishing the sides of the slide see what happens when ya have a lapping table and wayyyyyyyy to much time on yer hands slider
  2. g'head and post yer "gunporn" that is as long as you're wearing something under yer gunbelt LMAO
  3. yanno thats what happens when ya have a selection of drill bits and waaayyy too much time on your hands.LOL slider

just thought i'd toss in my 2cents worth Springfield Armory single stack 45, Hienie barrel/comp, Tasco pro-point, Dawson(?) mount Winchester 1300 Defender, Tac-Star sidesaddle, B-square mount, El-Cheapo red dot, custon made comp Ruger stainless mini-14, Masen comp, Ram-line mount, Simmons red dot, refinished factory stock
  5. i started out shooting the 45 in the open class, and thought for a while "bigger is better" bought a custom para 38 super, and was never really happy with the gun, i didnt enjoy shooting when i used it. sold the gun, went back to my trusty 45. i fabricated the racker myself out of a piece of 1/4 dia turned, ground & polished bar stock, fitted it to the rear sight cut and locked it in place with a couple of small screws. it's about 2 1/2 inches long, long enuff for me to get my index and middle fingers on it. i cruashed my index finger about 15 years ago and have limited mobility with it, so i have trouble racking a slide with it. the scope sits so low, it's almost impossible to get ahold of it slider
  6. finally got my rifle finished, i routinely shoot the single stack 45 in the open class, and i've been told i'm pretty quick with the pump gun. Springfield Armory 45 Hienie barrel/comp Tasco pro-point, with a Dawson(?) mount Winchester 1300 Defender with a custom made comp, B-square mount and an elcheapo red dot. Ruger stainless mini-14, refinished factory stock, Masen comp, Ram-line mount w/ Simmons red dot
  7. I've been a construction equipment mechanic/welder for the last 20 years, and worked as a tool and die maker before that.
  8. i know this post is from a long way back, but i just got my hands on a nice used mini 14, and i'd like to set it up to run in the open class. i was wondering if you had any pics of your set-up. there dont seem to be many open 3 gunners 'round here that dont shoot some kinda AR. so i'm just looking for some ideas.. greg a34509
  9. i know this might be a little too late for you, but i previuously owned one of the "new" colt 22 pistols that were introduced back in the mid 90's. stainless 4" bull barrel, composite frame w/2 10rd stainless mags. i bought a wiegand combat scope mount, and added a tasco red dot scope. the gun worked perfectly even cycled with el-cheapo UMC yellow box 22LR ammo. at the time the gun was a little over $200 new and with the scope and mount maybe another $125 and was more accurate that i count shoot. slider
