  1. I am selling mine, its a v4. From brand new till about 2500 rds my battery went low enough I couldn't see it very well. I don't have the best vision so I'm sure this all plays into why I like a larger window and the option for a circle with dot. I'm selling my infinity mount as well if you need a mount
  2. I'm going to a larger window, nothing against the rts2. Not a huge fan of the battery life, but it's just personal preference for me.
  3. SILO works very well for me, as well as AA7. I've loaded with WAC, 3n38, during my load development I found AA7 OR silo to be my personal favorites.
  4. Mine will be back to me tomorrow! 2 matches next week so I'm pumped. Hopefully the weather holds and we can get them both in! After match on Saturday I'm going to try all my same loads that made PF with the plastic grip and shoot them again with the steel grip. Also wanting to try 115's, I've only ran 124's. Glad to see everyone as happy as me with the venom guns!
  5. Who has a chaos, let's hear what you've landed on. 3n38 would be my first guess, but curious what everyone else found to be their favorite. 38SC
  6. It's not if an open gun goes down, it's when. We push them to the absolute limit. If you shoot open 200k rounds your gonna need some new parts. STI has a great warranty, but it's not fast. I also have a venom Custom 9 major gun, and absolutely love it. I had a dvc open before, sold it to go to 9 instead of 38 SC. Just because brass is next to free. Or free if you have a cool indoor range near you. I tuned my mags and that's it. Don is just a phone call or text away at any given time. He will build you exactly what you want, hand fit, you can draw what you want on your slide before you send it to him and he will work it out with you for slide cuts. I will be perfectly honest, I paid 4k for my gun. With a plastic grip. I ended up going stainless with the cheeley because I had one on a limited gun I wasn't shooting. He has in stock, to the best of my knowledge. An all black open gun, atlas comp, invinity grip, rts2 (I think). Gold barrel, sexy as s#!t 9 major gun. I almost spring for the extra $ and bought. Go check out his Facebook. I'm sure it's still on there if it's not already sold.
  7. I loaded 21 dummy rounds stuffed it and one in the pipe, took off the msh and watched where the trigger bow was riding.
  8. under a timer you wont tell the difference in 1/2 lb high or low in my opinion

I am set up for silo now, 6.9 at 1.160. i still have another lb maybe a little more to load on then ill run through the rest of the lb jugs i bought. Other than the AA7 being super smokey. I know i wont be able to tell the difference under the timer.
  10. https://photos.google.com/search/_tv_Videos/photo/AF1QipO8g9QTUwSnPiV_UO6xS-5K8r1TROhAlkyWoAB- Heres a stage from last weekend with my venom gun i will post some other raw videos i have to day as well
  11. Just B class, nowhere near "fast" enough. I just like to learn! theres so much about open guns I dont know.
  12. I really cant see a reason to change anything. It returns to where it started, I'll try taking off the *thumb rest [generic]* maybe. I was just curious about it. Engineer mind strikes again lol
  13. So being fairly new to open and brand new to micro dots, I have a 9 major Venom gun and I really love it. I was letting some other guys run some rounds through it after a match last weekend. I had mentioned that my dot seems to go in a circular motion instead of just up and down it tracks right to where it started and at 7yrds the double taps are damn near touching. I've adjusted my grip tension a little and made sure I wasn't driving on the *thumb rest [generic]* to much. Other more experienced open shooters had similar experience. Has anyone had this come up? I was wondering since I have the infinity mount that sits back about an inch further that could possibly make the difference? I am sure it doesn't change where I sit on the leader board, the function of teh pistol is fine, shoots flat, way better than my ability. Just curious?
  14. looks great! did you go 9 major? I have to get mine off to him to blend a few things. Since I put the steel grip on mine I just wanna keep shooting it! I dont want to have any downtime!
  15. I have been super busy, but I have a match this weekend and a move coming up but I will get all my info together and get you guys some info on what I've found. I booked up my cheeley e2 just happened to fit nice and tight. I'm doing the same ladder loads just with a steel grip. From the few shots I've taken, the steel grip seems ultra important on the 9 major guns compared to 38sc. I didn't feel like a needed a metal grip in my dvc in 38. But the metal grip makes I giant difference on felt recoil with 9 major. Happy to see more people chiming in on this thread, Don certainly deserves the work. Really loving mine and the customer service.
  16. Don at venom customs can build you a bare bones brand new blaster for just over 3k
  17. First match down. I have a ton of footage from load development to my first match. I gotta figure out how to complie it all lol. Stay tuned. Copious amounts of information, coming your way.
  18. I had loaded up to 9.6. at 9.5 I was mid to high 1400's. So I never shot the 9.6's.
  19. Ok guys! Here's a list of 4 powders and the charges I used that made PF and all felt fairly similar. Minus the 32 degree weather and not being able to feel my hands anyway. AA7 at 9.3g WAC at 6.7g SILO 6.9g 3n38 8.3g All were shot with 124g precision Delta JHP So that being said I will load up 100 of each and go run some drills and benchrest the gun to try to get a good idea of any accuracy difference. Today it was 32 degrees, calm, at about 2200ft above sea level. I'm also going to use a different Chrono to insure my readings are correct.
  20. Hopefully heading out to Chrono some ammo today. I'll upload my findings when I get home!
  21. I'm starting load development for my new venom customs open gun. I'm loading silhouette WAC 3n38 and AA7. Im all set with everything but the AA7 where have some of y'all started? Start at 6.5? 7.0? 2 barrel holes and a binary 3 port comp.
