  1. How do we get them in the states? I wanna try one
  2. Before I just rig up a spacer does anyone have info on a company building spacers that are precision. Not just some random spacer and longer screws?
  3. Anyone put a romeo 3xl or an rts2 on a canik tp9sfx? Needs a spacer plate but I can't seem to find one. The stock plate situates the dot to far forward and the slide milling isn't long enough.
  4. Don had a in stock middy, anyone pick it up yet?!!!
  5. Thays super short for 9 maj, you may need to ream that barrel a little or try another projectile. Maybe the ogive/profile it touching lands. Shats short and obviously adding pressure and thats short to feed, could cause nose dive malfunction
  6. 124 jhp are significantly better in my opinion. 9.3-9.6g has been the range I've always stayed in.
  7. Most guns will run both with one well tuned extractor, its getting them out of the mags that can cause issues.
  8. I know Don had some in stock guns, anyone here pick one up?
  9. Whatever works for you man, glad your system is perfect for you. I have been lucky I guess in always catching bad cases before I load em or on the press. I trust my process as you trust yours. I haven't had a bad round yet, as far as 9 maj.
  10. I would have to politely disagree, dot movement happens so fast i personally can't see a change from load to load. But hey if that works for you then get aftwr it. Perceived movement isn't as cut and dry to me as the double test. I feel as the double test gives me factual results, not based on perception. And let's face it we are not concentrating on the dot that hard in a match. I wanna k ow I can run up to an open 7yrd target tap 2 and know they are gonna be close. On paper. As long as I do my job right of course
  11. I meant was if you unsure of your ammo enough to the point of wanting to inspect every round, thats either just no confidence in your ammo yet. Which happens i know i wasn't when I first started. I wasnt trying to tell anyone to change loading habbits, but maybe reconsider when they come off the press to watch more closely. Thats only if you are worried. I got in the habit of watching every case get powder, some people may not have that habit. Seems like double checking as they go into mags the night before a match might be excessive, or as i said maybe the confidence isn't there as we all have our own learning curve. On a side note you automated guys that push a button and walk away are crazy lol.
  12. Especially with a CM, if you aren't losing points shooting minor, id run minor all day everyday. Less wear and tear on those seemingly fragile slide stops. Secondly, if you like the way it feels and you have the right recoil spring and the gun tracks how you want it to. Rest of it really doesn't matter. Double tap a target from 15-18yrds If the second shot is high=possible to light of a recoil spring Second shot low, too much recoil spring. Left and right can be a large number of things but that a good place to start in tuning gun/ammo together.
  13. I never load them until I get to the range, belt on, gun on, then load my mags when I get to the first stage. Few reasons, Don't really want to/ sounds boring Usually drinking beers with buddies night before Usually just ate some killer BBQ Meat sweats and loading mags=dropping bullets everywhere. Seriously though, It only takes a few minutes to load up a few mags. If your concerned about inspecting every bullet before you load, you should seriously reconsider your ammo loading habits. Your not gonna check every round all day long when you load up. Why the first set of mags 12hrd sefore you go to the range? I'd just prefer to do that when they come off the press. Once they pass the case gauge and I see the primers are good, they go into organizers if im flying or a ammo can if im staying local. I use 3 mags all day, 1-170,1-155,1-140. Unless the stage requires otherwise. Only ever have to clean the 170, its usually the only one that hits the ground on most stages. Everyone has their own ways of doing things, ill never tell anyone their way is incorrect. Especially when it comes down to pure habits. Are you having fun with your buddies on range day? Thats all that matters, rest of it is window dressing.
  14. I keep a 140 for those low round count classifiers. Everything else 155s and 170s. I have used the same 170 mbx for probably way to long. But she just runs.
  15. How about yall understand its a one man shop, imagine trying to get s#!t done and people blowing up your phone asking questions when there's probably an 80% chance they ain't gonna spend a dime. Meanwhile, the people who aren't window shopping, who have paid the man to do his thing are waiting patiently. Cause if you've ever dealt with Don you'll know he ain't that guy who takes your money and doesn't communicate. No new builds means just that, no new builds at this time. You guys should be respectful of that cause many builders will take a deposit and just make you wait. Metering ones workload keeps the build time and quality exactly where he wants to keep it and where he's comfortable. Imagine your answering 3 social media platforms, emails, phone calls, text messages. Then dealing with getting parts, and dealing with coating, and dealing with shipping. Buy with confidence, wait with confidence. You won't be disappointed. Cheers
  16. I had a paid and the stud the ear foam goes onto broke off. Kinda frustrating
  17. I'd be careful running 115 blues through a comp anywhere close to max velocity. Look at SNS i tried some at major with 38sc their 125 with 3n38 made 168 thats was below their max rating of 1500fps. Just really smokey. But for what you want thats not a huge deal, like low 9s' in charge with a 125gr/AA7 should get you in that 140-150 range.
  18. anyone tried these bud type hearing pro? I've tried some in ear bud type and they just aren't enough for open guns. I wanna try some but I dont want 130$ in another set of ears I cant use with the space blasters. Hoping someone else has tried em?!
  19. Don has some awesome available blasters if yall are in the market!
  20. I wouldnt at all, that extractor causes to many issues. Id put a top end on a edge with someone like Don at Venom Customs. I'd try to sell whatever tangfo you have now and buy a cheap used gun, there is a shorty akai on here in 38sc. There was a cheap 38sc gun that was down to like 1850 it had a crack by the extractor but "ran fine". You could go that route and put a new slide on that and it'll be reliable. I watched and helped my good buddy for over a year trying to get his tangfo to run. Finally it did after getting sent off and like 500rds later the comp cracked. So many matches ruined because of all types of feeding and extraction failures. Maybe you k ow a guy that knows a guy that can make em run. Just my personal experience dealing with a gold team for over a year. @Mlussoro can tell you all you wanna know about it.
  21. Hey Chris, I've used major pistol with good results. I started at 9.5 went to 10.2 with my hybrid with 3 holes. 10.2 got me 173. Gassy enough to work the comp. With a dvc id start lower like 8.5 ish to be safe. Also I've used ultimate pistol, which was very close to CFE in charge weight and feel. My dvc was good at 7.3 Both powders are significantly cheaper than 3n38. I shot a ton of accuras, they are good enough without a doubt. But PD for me has been significantly more consistent. Same loads data, same press, same gun, PD's cut SD in half. I've found that SNS are rated for 1500fps. So I loaded 100 with 9.3 of 3n38 and they did stay together, grouped well enough, no tumbling, very smokey! Probably not worth the savings, I dont want to start having to clean a comp or even worse risk a comp strike. All that being said, AA7 works fine for practice and locals. Early morning you will get more dot wash as it is considerably more choo choo train like. But your still gonna load high 9's low 10's to make 173, price per lb is about 10-12$ more. Which i understand adds up over time. For me its not worth it, id rather load good ammo for practice, make sure I get my brass back, and always shoot the same load data. You really wanna save $ just shoot 9maj for practice. Always an option. Ben Also, I know having accura in the backyard is awesome. Most people preaching against them probably don't know your supporting a local shop. 45ish$ per 500 isn't bad thats 90 per 1k or 180 per 2k. Before tax PD'd are 178 shipped for 2k. RMR are 182 shipped for 2k. Unless your on the local accura pro team, they ain't worth it.
  22. Less than 6 months for a custom ish gun is not a huge deal. Just saying people wait 18 months for an eddie gun. But I get it if you were quoted 3-4 months that would be frustrating. Hope they take care of yall.
  23. That's my old gun! It was lights out perfect, I'd buy it back if I could find it.
