Never ordered from BBI but I'm unclear how what you described is their fault?

I am a Blue subscriber, and it took 2 weeks from charge to deliver. This was just a few weeks ago.

I didn't say it was their fault.

It really seems to be USPS for their location.  If they used fedex or UPS, maybe things would be better, but I understand that it's cheaper to go with USPS... just like every other manufacturer is using the flat rate boxes.

My other orders were all shipped USPS too, but they are located in different areas, and the postal service for them seemed fine.  No delays.

I'd have to go back and look at tracking, but it seemed like the Memphis postal hub was the black hole... sat there for over 3 weeks without a single update.  Until that mess gets fixed, I'll simply order from suppliers in different areas to avoid the delays or potentially lost shipments.

  2. My shipment from BBI was awful.  They shipped out ok, but the USPS there must be a complete mess.  It took weeks to even get out of that city.  Just because of that I’ll avoid them during these times

DG got my order to be in less than 2 weeks.  Acme was just at 2 weeks

Any update(s) on the Pro Ears Stealth Elite?  Looking at them.....

They've been shipping over the past few weeks.  Large orders over 5 units were received already.

The other orders are shipping now.

  4. The S2 is hard to beat.  The performance you get for  the price is hard to go another direction.

I really like the sound of the A01LD, but justifying the cost is hard... especially since I've never actually handled one in person.  I'd like to get one, but then I'd be investing in all new mags and holster.  And I'd need to still keep all my old stuff for backup.

I still don't understand why Glock is discontinuing the Gen 4 Models. There has to be police departments who purchased them who will want parts and replacements now and then. Maybe that's why they are going to offer the Gen  in .40 now.

From Glock's perspective, why keep the Gen4?  It costs more to keep legacy versions in production.  They'll still do warranty work on the Gen4 that are out there.

The only reason they're keeping the Gen3 is because there is a CA market for it.

Did the trigger work include the short reset disconnector installation?

I had him do the Villain trigger package on my SP-01 and I’m very happy with the results. I didn’t have him do the short reset disconnector and don’t know how much of a difference it would make. But,  I’m considering sending my Shadow 2 for work in the future.

Yes.. he said he usually does the CZC Short disconnector for S2s, but he prefers to leave the factory hammer

Does it make sense to get the optics ready CZ Shadow 2 or do what you did?

The factory OR wasn't an option when I did mine, and rules were also different and it needed lightening.

I like my setup and like the slide cuts.  Since I went with the CZ Custom setup, I can easily change plates for different optics or even get their plate with a rear sight.

I suppose if you're worried about resale, then getting the factory version is the way to go.

If I wanted to do it today... I'd look for a used S2 at a good price that is either already milled or cheap enough that getting it milled makes sense.

If I couldn't find a killer deal on a used S2, then I'd get the OR.

Nope, the "ban" refers to the original 1994 AWB I believe. In the case of Glocks, you need the old early 90's U-notch mags. It gets murkier with the CZs, Berettas, etc where the original mags look more or less identical to the current production ones.

I don't live in CT, but I think they had a magazine ban implemented in 2013

Since 2013, Connecticut law prohibits people from selling or purchasing high-capacity ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. Existing owners before the law passed were allowed to keep the magazines.

A person who lawfully possesses a large capacity magazine prior to January 1, 2014, must apply by that date to the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) to declare possession of such magazine

So if you had a mag before then and "declared"as jakeb stated, then you could keep it and use it (with some restrictions).

If he has any standard mags that he 'declared' then he could then buy/use a gun that could take advantage of those mags for CO.

Similar in MA, but the ban is the actual 94 ban, so if people have mags from before then, then they are using them for CO.
