  1. You can't go wrong with CZ Custom or Cajun. They both do amazing work and will return a reliable trigger.

I've read mixed reviews of the MCarbo kit, but haven't seen one in person, so it's all just internet comments.

Also there is CJ Maven who does incredible work tuning these guns.

I've had guns done by CJ, CZC, and CGW.  All have been great and reliable.

  2. Yes it will impact resale value.  How much is the question... in a gun shop it wouldn’t have been good to begin with so that’s not a real concern.  On a competition forum, then you’ll need to find someone who wants to run an optic.

I own both a Shadow 2 Bull and a standard Bull Shadow. I think the short dust cover pulls the weight balances back to your hand so it is a bit easier to control. Muzzle flip is essentially the same in my experience but the sights seem to return more consistently with the SA frame. Granted, some of this might be due to backstrap profile differences also

any interest in selling the Shadow 2 Bull?

  4. I have an Anova as well.  Works great for Chicken.  It works well for steak too, but I've never really had a problem cooking steak how I like it.

I've done ribs for 48 hours too and it works great.  You really can't go wrong it really is set it and forget it.

For the long cooks, I'll use an older igloo cooler.

I also bought a torch to finish things off after wards.

  5. Years ago, they were fine.  If it showed as in stock, it would ship within a week and you'd get it in decent time.  Amazon has definitely changed our expectation on shipping/receiving though.

Now, even if it shows as in stock, they still don't usually ship for weeks.  I won't order from them anymore.  I suppose, if you really don't care about when it comes in, then it's ok.  They are a reputable site, but definitely use their logistics algorithms to minimize their costs for shipping and distribution, and that results in slow shipping.

  6. The MSA Sordins and Pro Ears Gold will do what you want.  They don't cut in and out like lower end ones do.

For me, the Pro Ears Gold are better at noise cancellation without any added hiss.  However, the build quality of the headband is lacking.  Since it's all plastic.

The MSA Sordins feel more sturdy and collapse down smaller.  But the original foam ear cups need improvement, so most people pay extra to get the gel cups.  I get a hiss in all of mine when I turn up the volume.

  7. I picked up a used .40 TS slide that mated right up to my TSO 9mm.  No fitting required.  I have heard that some require slight fitting, but any smith could handle it for around $100.

Keep an eye on the classifieds here.  I've found more parts here vs Ken's.
